Daisy was surrendered to the Stafford Shelter by her previous owner at the age of 10 months.  She was unimmunized and had recently had a litter of puppies (though still only a puppy herself!)  She spent 2.5 months at the shelter and was rescued by BullyPaws just when her time was up.  Daisy has been spayed, her immunizations are up-to-date, and she has been given a clean bill of health.
     Daisy is a joyful 13 month old pit-mix, who demonstrates amazing resiliency despite all that she has experienced.  She has quickly adapted to life with her foster family.  She is excelling with her crate training; Daisy will enter and sit in her crate when asked and when her crate door is opened she will sit politely and remain in her crate until invited out.  Daisy knows a basic sit and down and is currently working on new skills.  Daisy is a medium-energy dog who adores playing with her toys.  She does have typical moments of puppy excitement, but responds well when redirected to calmer activities. 
     Daisy is an athletic girl who would be perfect for a family interested in agility, flyball or even a hiking or running partner.  She has a vertical leap that would make Olympic high-jumpers envious! Because of this, Daisy needs to be watched closely in her yard as she is able to jump a 4.5 foot fence with ease.  Her foster family is currently working with her to teach Daisy that this is not appropriate and redirect her energy.  Daisy is very good with her foster family's 11 year old daughter.  With appropriate introductions and supervision, Daisy does very well with other dogs (to include small dogs- one of her foster sisters is an 11 pound pug).  She shares her toys and has not shown any evidence of resource guarding with people or other dogs.
     Daisy is an amazing dog!
