Eileen is a wonderful dog!  Her first week with us involved her being taken from the shelter to the vet for her spay, then to our home.  Despite multiple changes in environment and caretakers, Eileen remained sweet, calm, and adaptable.  Her personality has really developed over the course of her recovery, and she is a happy, playful girl!  She loves her people, and all she wants is to be around them as much as possible.  She also shares our house with two young children (ages 5 & 6), and she is very gentle with them and loves it when they keep her company. 

Eileen was estimated to be 8 years old, but we think she may actually be closer to 6.  Now that she is out of the shelter her energy is up and she is ready to play.  She walks great on the leash-she may pull a bit when excited but eventually settles into her walk.  She is fully housebroken, and will settle down and sleep once in her crate, even though she doesn’t like it.  We’ve also discovered that she’s full of tricks!  She knows “sit”, “paw”, “down”, “roll over” and “hug”.  Eileen seems to do well with other dogs, she does however display high levels of excitement when meeting them, but this is the only issue we have observed so far. 

In summary, Eileen would make an ideal pet. All she needs is a couple of good walks a day and lots of love and she will repay it by bringing lots of happiness into your life.  Whoever adopts this girl is incredibly lucky!
