CJ needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
February 16
CJ is a big lovable boy, who had a rough start to life, he is a little shy in new situations, we think he lived outside or in a basement for most of his life, he is a little nervous to enter or exit doorways, but he is working on that with his foster Mom and doing well. He walks nicely on a leash, but can "freeze up" in new surroundings or new situations, but with a little encouragement he is fine to continue on with his walk. CJ loves, loves people and wiggles all over once he warms up to you. We also believe that CJ was crated a lot a does not want to be crated now, he has his own room at his foster home and does great during the day when left alone.
To help CJ build his confidence, he would do well in a home with a medium to large size female.
NO CATS PLEASE! Update: Hi my name is CJ, but I prefer Big Boy. I'm about 4 1/2 years old and
even though I've had a rough start and every once in a while that shows, my foster family have really helped me learn to enjoy life. Some of my favorite things to do is play with my foster sister, Ivy. We have so much fun together!! I also enjoy going hiking with Ivy and Marley (another foster sib). I think my favorite thing to do is run along my foster dad's bike to go get ice cream; that's always fun!
I also have some good times with human foster sister, Savannah. She's 5, and mistakes me for a horse. She hitches a ride around the yard a lot, but I don't mind it's good exercise. I even get to spend time with her as a friend when she dresses me up like a princess!
I still have some things to work on (shyness) but with the help of my foster family and peanut butter (I'm a sucker for peanut butter) I continue to get better each day! You can email my foster family anytime for more information on me or even if you'd like to meet me!!!
