Bella is almost three years old and has matured into a sweet and snuggly girl. When Bella first came into foster care, she was rather timid. As she's grown up, she has conquered her fears, and she has learned to be more confident. Bella is still sometimes a little shy in new environments, but she behaves appropriately and no longer cowers when confronted with a new situation. Bella LOVES her humans and enjoys being near to them at all times. In fact, she snuggles so closely, you'd think that she was trying to get under your skin! Bella is good with children, too, although she can be a little jumpy when playing, so she would do best with older, school-aged kids. Bella also loves the company of other dogs, and she happily coexists with two other pit bulls. Her favorite game is to play keep-away with a stick or a toy, and she will run and chase the other dogs all over the backyard. Due to her shy nature, Bella does get nervous meeting new dogs for the first time, so a slow and proper dog-to-dog introduction is important with her. Once she goes on a walk with a new dog, though, Bella is relaxed and happy. Bella has never lived with cats and we're not sure how she would do eith them; she demonstrates a very high prey drive with the squirrels, birds, and bunnies that catch her attention in her foster mom's backyard, but she has ignored the cat that lives at the vet's office. With proper introductions and LOTS of supervision (and a dog-savvy feline), she might be be okay residing with cats. Bella is crate trained and housebroken, and she is also very smart. She knows when it's time for her foster mom to go to work, and she will go into her crate on her own when her foster mom is getting ready to leave. Since Bella is such a fast learner, her foster mom thinks that she would be easy to train for agility or disc competitions. (She already knows how to catch tennis balls and frisbees!) If you're looking for a super-sweet, young dog who has already been through the puppy years, please consider Bella. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, and she would LOVE to meet you! You can fill out an adoption application through our website, or you may contact Bella's foster mom, Barbara at barbk.bullypaws@gmail.com with any questions.
