Doc is a very sweet, but very shy 10 month old Pitbull. He was not socialized at all as a puppy so he has trouble trusting people. He does great with other dogs (he currently lives with 5 others). He is being leash trained and seems to really enjoy going for runs alongside his foster mom on roller blades. He loves to run and play in the little kiddie pool out in the yard.  He quickly learned to use the dog door to go outside and do his business. He is just like his sister (littermate) who has gone through the same foster home, adapted beautifully, and has now been adopted. Doc is a very handsome, curious boy who needs a home with patient, understanding owners who would be willing to give him plenty of time to build up his confidence and trust.

Update: 2/13/2011

Doc has been slowly coming out of his shell in his foster home. He wears an anti-anxiety vest at public outings which helps him feel a little more confident. Doc is very attached to one of the dogs in his foster home (a lab) and lays on top of him or right next to him whenever he can. He is getting more comfortable around his foster home and willingly goes into and out of his kennel with no problems. Doc still has a ways to go, but he is making good progress towards becoming a more confident dog.
Update: 7/1/2011
Doc still continues to be the most shy of the seven dwarfs. He loves his other dog buddies more than life itself, but still has a hard time trusting people. He does well on a leash and goes for frequent runs, walks. He has gotten much better about coming inside without barking and can handle public outings better than he did before.
